Why it's on the list

You pick your meat at the butcher's counter and they cook it on the spot, and the babka and panettone from their bakery now sell in Bucharest too.

About the place

Piața9 started in 2018, set up by Dani Galea, who came back to Oradea after ten years in Northern Ireland, where he worked at a family butcher's. On Bulevardul Decebal, in the Prima Shops complex, the butcher, the bakery and the restaurant share one open space: you choose your meat at the counter and they cook it for you there.

You also find ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat dishes, vegetables and Romanian products from local producers, plus bread and pastries. The second location, Piața9 Cetate, is inside Oradea Fortress at Piața Emanuil Gojdu 41: a café with a terrace and the bakery where almost all their products are made, from bread and croissants to babka and panettone.
